Dana Point
The regular OC crew of Duane S, Joe K, Roger H and myself were joined by Jon B up from San Diego for our paddle from Dana Point to Treasure Island. The skies were overcast at launch and the water was flat as we headed out of Dana Point Harbor. On the way to Treasure Island we saw a couple of seals, some dolphins and Joe thinks he spotted a whale. With the smooth conditions we made fast time to treasure and by the time we got there the sun was shining and temp had started to rise.

The conditions for the trip home was a paddlers dream, calm water, sunny skies and warm temp. It just don't get any better than that. Lack of mayhem and/or carnage makes for a short and boring trip report, but this type of paddle is what makes paddling in So Cal so great.

Hope to see you on the water
