Grand Teton & Yellowstone
In September I went to The Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. Naturally I took my sea kayak with me. Once there I met other Kayakers that were very helpful. After obtaining the proper permits, the fun began.

One day a paddle in String Lake was very nice with Elk eating the plants aplenty. Then a 1/4 mile portage to Leigh lake. (Whew ! almost lost my breath @ 7800 ft.) This paddle was a very spectacular one, I turned the corner of a point to a large cove area on the lake. There; Glacier topped peaks, green conifer pines, aspen and various other plants were changing color for fall. The Lake; emerald green smooth as glass and all the mountains perfectly reflected in the lake with a blue topaz sky above. I stopped my progress and watched as the wake of my kayak went all the way to shore (as there was no one else on the lake).

This was such a beautiful and peaceful moment I just had to share it with you.
