The more experienced in various areas worked with the less experienced. There was a lot of practice in bow rescues, T rescues, wet exit and entry, etc. I took one of the newer, though not necessarily younger, paddlers in hand. What a great pleasure to me to see someone who comes with few skills learn to edge, brace, do a beach landing, etc. Plant the seeds of skill and watch them grow with time.
After playing in the Pond we played in the clapotis and rips eventually winding up back in the Pond proper. A few of us took off for a paddle behind the sea wall playing in the higher swell and refexic wave. As we rounded the easter edge we noted that the rest had gone in and we joined them, ending up at Big Daddy-o's for lunch.
This is not too detailed because we all broke up into 2-3 person dyamic groups working on various skills. In my mind this was one of the most productive days we have had in a long time.
I thank the participants for making this another great day on the water. For the newer folk, welcome aboard, it was a real pleasure.
