Surf Play at Torrance Beach
Harry Fleenor, Simon & I spent the morning playing in the surf in Malaga
Cove near Torrance beach this Sunday morning.
It was one of those, "Thank God I live in Southern California" days. The
water was warm and the heavy cloud cover kept the heat down.
We launched at 10:00 AM and soon were surrounded by surfers that gave us
dirty looks for sharing the same ocean with them. We ignored them and they went away.
It was a very nice day with the 1-2 foot surf building to 4-5ft by the time
we left 3 hours later.
Harry practiced his rolls and Simon his surf launches. I played around in
my Sterns inflatable kayak and my ocean kayak.
The waves thrashed us but we played like sea lions pups in the surf.
This life is good.
