Hosting a CKF Trip or Event


HOSTING can mean a social paddle in your favorite area, a slide show at a local library or restaurant, a dinner/dessert trip-planning party at your home, a beach clean-up or... a kayak trip to where you have always wanted to paddle:
  1. Select a trip that you are familiar with and are confident that the requirements of the trip are within your capabilities.
  2. Select the date.
  3. Advise the Calendar of Events person of the trip at least 60 days in advance of the trip. This can be done by email, phone or mail to the address below.
  4. Include specific time and location of meeting place, directions, your phone number, skill level necessary, extra kayaks available etc. If this is a multi day trip it is advisable to also supply a trip plan including a mini-map, resources required as water, clothing, food, tent, and very specific precautionary information.
  5. Obtain blank Disclaimer/Liability Waivers from Calendar of Events person or The President and ensure that all trip participants sign them and return them to the address below at completion of event.
