WARNING - Scams A number of CKF members who have placed ads to sell kayaks on the CKF website have received messages from various individuals emanating from African countries. Their schemes vary, but generally they advise one that a check will be sent to you for funds exceeding what one is asking for the boat. They direct one to deduct what you want for the boat and send the difference in the form of money order to their bank in various African countries.

NOTE: recently members have reported scam letters emanating from other countries such as Russia and Holland as well.
